Behind the Scenes

Established in 1997, Getty Images Gallery offers the highest quality fine art prints of premium imagery produced from vintage photographic material housed in the Getty Images “Hulton” Archive in London.  As the world’s largest commercial archive with over 80 million photographs and growing, it encompasses iconic and influential images including celebrities, history making moments, sports, music and creative expression. The Darkroom Society is proud to be an authorized Getty Images Gallery Partner representing this esteemed collection.

Each photograph is custom printed to the highest industry standard. Based on the original negatives and slides, the printing process produces crisp detail, superb density and continuous tone. Color photographs utilize a C-type, or chromogenic printing technique on Fujicolor Crystal archival paper. Black and white prints either utilize a Resin or Pigment print process, or for limited editions, a Fibre silver gelatin process.
